WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU VISIT WARWICK HOUSE (COVID-19 CARE PLAN)

We can reassure you that we will be following government guidelines and hospitality best practise for Guest Houses, so you can confidently enjoy your stay at Warwick House. It is essential for your safety, our guests and ourselves that you read the information below.

What we are doing.aa good to go 2

Compliance– We have achieved both the ‘AA Covid Confident’ and the Visit England ‘Good to Go’  accreditations for hospitality businesses.

Breakfast – We have made changes to allow extra space at Breakfast time to ensure the correct distancing between tables, (for those of you that have stayed before we now use the lounge as a breakfast room as well). Each table will now have their own individual buffet tray bought to their table.

Cleaning – We have always had high cleaning standards. Warwick House holds a ‘4 star Silver award’ accreditation from Visit Britain.  We are now taking extra steps to ensure all areas are thoroughly sanitised and clean. We use Antiviral disinfectant for sanitising and work to a sanitising check list of all high touch points in the guest rooms.  Stair rails and handrails and other touch points in public areas will be sanitised frequently during the day. Our Housekeeper Louise has had extra training to help us ensure a safe and clean Warwick House. We have removed the guest information folder and decorative cushions from the guest rooms. All the information you need has been emailed to you. Brochures for attractions can be requested and will be recycled after.

Sanitisers – We have hand sanitisers at the entry to the house and dining room.

No walk-ins – We will only be accepting guests who have made bookings. We cannot accept walk-in customers.

Before Arrival – guests will be contacted and reminded not to travel if they are experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms, as they will need to isolate at home.

During your Stay – in the event a guest has Covid-19 symptoms during their stay they will be asked to return home to isolate. We have strict guidelines for access, deep cleaning and laundry if this should happen.

Guest Arrival & Departure – We will do this with social distancing in mind. Room keys will be sanitised. Guests will be asked to telephone us on arrival, you may be asked to wait a few minutes if there are other guests arriving at the same time. Payments will be charged remotely and your receipt emailed to you. Your key should left in your room, please text/WhatsApp 0785 6519087 us when you leave.

What our Guests need to do.

During your Stay – If you or anyone in your party is experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms whilst staying we would ask you to remain in your room and contact us by text/WhatsApp 0785 6519087 immediately. You will be asked to return home to self-isolate. It is important to contact us immediately so we can ensure the required no-access and deep cleaning guidelines are followed to protect us and incoming guests. Face-coverings are required to be worn when entering/ exiting the guesthouse and in the hallways.

Washing hands & Distancing – We politely remind guests to wash their hands whenever they return to their rooms and before coming down to breakfast. Please use the Sanitisers as you enter the house and the Dining room.  We ask our guests (whenever possible) to maintain the required distancing during their stay for the well being of yourselves, other guests and our team.

Planning your Visit – Remember to plan your stay by booking visits to attractions in advance which is required this year. www.visitcornwall.com is a useful website. Booking restaurants and pub meals is also recommended. Penzance town centre has some new street markings to help manage distancing for the community and tourists. Face coverings are required on public transport, and some attractions.

Please do not hesitate to ask us if you have any questions about this information. We very much want you to relax and enjoy your stay at Warwick House in beautiful West Cornwall. Thank you, Julie & Chris (Owners)
